EDIT TEXTURES
4 WAYS TO EDIT TEXTURES IN PHOTOSHOP
01 | SEAMLESS TEXTURE:
A seamless texture is a pattern that can be multiplied vertically and horizontally in a tile format and no joints are seen.
There are some great resources for texture! Check the Resources page for more.
PRO TIP: If you’re looking for entourage on Google Images, type ‘seamless’ on the search menu for better results.
02 | ADJUST LIGHTING:
Sometimes you find the perfect texture, but it doesn’t quite look seamless when you tile them together.
To adjust the lighting, use the Dodge tool (midtones) to add highlights, or the Burn tool (midtones) to add shadow.

03 | CLONE STAMP:
Have you ever found the perfect texture, but it had a graphic overlay on it so you had to find a different one? Simply use the clone stamp tool is to remove it!
Select the area of the image you want to sample and paint over any marks you want to remove.
04 | SPOT HEALING BRUSH TOOL:
If there are any details from the texture you want to quickly eliminate, the spot healing brush tool is the way to go! With just one click, Photoshop will seamlessly paint over the selected pixels with the texture surrounding the area.
PRO TIP: Hold SHIFT to draw a straight line.
